I appreciate the advice and the kind words. The fact of the matter is that I published a book and manage a web site so that I can express myself in the style of my choosing. If members of Psychology's academic communities are looking for reasons to disqualify me as unpalatable or unprofessional, there's much more in my book / web site than just the Matrix metaphors. Therein lies the problem. As a member (or aspiring member) of academic Psychology, I am managed right down to the height of my socks. My goal is not to persuade psychology professors, who have a stake in the status quo, to critically examine (and then care about) the effects of their own policies and procedures as researchers and instructors. My goal is to disseminate my criticisms within the undergraduate population and within the general public so people with illusions about academic life do not look to this community of professors for jobs or insights into the human condition.
